Ball of Twine Tour
Why the Ball Of Twine Tour? During the planning stages prior to our 28 day USA tour in the summer of '02, Mike and the girls took to the Internet, looking up goofy attractions and offbeat things to see.  At one point, we had located four different places in the USA that each claimed to be home to the World's Largest Ball Of Twine. Even after the number was whittled to three (one pretender to the crown turned out to be a fake), Mary had a bad feeling. Considering such previous Mike diversions as Whoopie cushions, the prehistoric cave drawings he "found" behind the kitchen cupboards and his invention of the Pit Tuba, she lived in fear that he would insist on altering our itinerary to actually  accomodate the Ball Of Twine Tour. Well, we never did see the Balls Of Twine, but the name stuck and the rest is McD family history.   To view a synopsis of the original Ball Of Twine Tour, click here.
We will revise the site as circumstances dicate and time and energy allow. Meanwhile, we hope you enjoy the sights and sites below.

As many of you have probably noticed, we have not recently updated our website as promised.  However, as it is now summer vacation again, Rachel will be working away on improving the site.  So, stay with us and remember the ball of twine tour keeps on rolling!
We still have 20 states to see - will yours be next?
Currently, Rachel is working on updating the website, so stay tuned and prepare yourself for more pictures and fun tidbits to come.  Please remember to e-mail us with your input and furthur ideas so we can keep adding to the site!
A short family update: Mom and Dad are the same old goofs that they have always been.  Mom went to Hawaii with her sisters.  Angela, after dropping out of choir, recently played the fairy godmother in her school musical of Cinderella.  Rachel, after getting her back brace, also dropped out.  Sam, unfortunatelly, passed away in January, and the newest addition to the family is a Great Dane and Black Lab puppy named Odin.
The Ball Of Twine Tour keeps on rollin'.
